time is the only "free" time away from home and office.
the prototype constructs the space for this time. transit environment.
a detour as extended time and extended ground attached
to Tokyo's expressways.

time - free space - no program - the best excuse for doing nothing
is commuting." the way from home to work needs to be promoted
differently. the prototype adds space and time to this line from A
to B. |

Tokyo's expressways
carry the potential for a major development. the prototype is making
parasitical use of the existing structure. the reclaimed ground
is folded to construct a continuous surface. several layers of vehicular
movement in different speeds allow for according programs. slow
- medium - fast.

the
prototype is implanted next to Higashi junction. the model performs
sucessfully. commuters start to spend more and more time on the way
to and from work within the expressway extension. proliferation will
eventually transform all of Tokyo's expressways and inspire Yokohama

a
public-private investment cooperation owns the ground. profit program
(p.ex.: Guggenheim, Moma, Snowfun, Shell) has to finance a specific
percentage of public non-program space such as open park landscapes
or meta-town squares. |
