1E In lack of space, a children's playground is placed in the KEIDAI (garden of a shrine), which is framed by a wall.
1O The quiet space changed its speed by the use of children.
1T A child climbs up a climbing frame.
1 M The child is able to see over the wall at the level of surrounding trees.
   
2 E Some of the trees has become thick and are cut down. Shrine society
2 O Without the trees the children are able to see very far, to the mountains.
2 T One day, the children recognize a fire in the mountain.
2 M After the fire the place becomes famous. They decide to take the wall and the trees away to make it more public.
     
3 E While the children are playing a family comes with a baby to OMIYA-MAIRI (baptize him).
3 O The children have to leave to go somewhere else to play.  
  3 T The children decide to walk somewhere they haven't been before.  
  3 M The children get scared of a by a guy on a motor cycle (Mr. YAN). So they end up going back to the shrine. beansite [m258o]  
       
  4 E Children's playground brings more activities to the site. More utilities were proposed. But it is denied by the SHINTO society.  
  4 O The SHINTO society wants KEIDAI to be quiet so they rebuild the wall. But this time the wall is shorter so that people can look through to the inside and outside.  
  4 T The residents start to put flowers and plants on the wall. Because they want more privacy.  
  4 M The flower growing becomes so successful that they start to sell them. A flower market is created.  
       
  5 E The flower growers expand and they start to take over more land. The playing area becomes smaller.  
  5 O The market expands and they start to attract people from the outside.  
  5 T The shrine society decides to join the successful business. They rent out land to other shop keepers.  
  5 M As the market expands, the flower growers decide to sell organic vegetables and fruits. They buy some nearby land where they grow them.  
         
  6 E The old soil of the land is replaced by clean clean soil in order to grow organic plants.  
  6 O The old soil that is taken away is used to fill up a part of the river where they make a new playground. beansite [m251e]  
  6 T The square island in the river is eroded by the stream. The shape becomes irregular.  
  6 M The Kawasaki city wants to keep the island. So they decide to put a restaurant on it.  
         
  7 E More island are constructed to house more restaurants from central areas.  
  7 O The difference between land and river becomes smaller when restaurants are moved from central to the river. The river becomes more like a part of the city.  
  7 T The level of the river becomes higher at some points so the land has to be heightened.  
  7 M The restaurants on the islands have problems with transport. Instead of transporting their organic waste they decide to compost them on the islands. prototype [p09]  
         
  8 E The city planners want to organize those buildings on the river.  
  8 O They make a transportation system along the islands as the first step to organize them.  
  8 T The residents in Kawasaki city starts to use the islands for recreation. They make barrier free bridges.  
  8 M The people on the opposite side of the river (Tokyo side) move to the other side where there is much better facilities. The rents on the Tokyo side decrease.  
         
  9 E An artist called Raoul wants to use this abandoned area for urban installations. beansite [m248m]  
  9 O Other artists move into this area, a community of artists is created.  
  9 T They don't like the square urban blocks in the area. So they create a curvy wall, cutting through the buildings. It is called the "organic wall". organic wall  
  9 M There is a car accident is caused due to the disturbing wall. Following this it is decided that this should be free of car traffic.  
         
  10 E The wall is part of a system composting organic wastes. rondeco composting method  
  10 O The organic wall with the composting system and the no traffic area is expanding to other areas.  
  10 T In areas with taller buildings, the organic wall becomes bigger and has more programmes. I.e. internal or vertical garden  
  10 M The area becomes very famous because of the organic wall and the idea is adopted in many places around the world.  
         
  11 E The idea of the format of the organic wall is changing. It need not be a physical wall anymore.  
  11 O In many other cities, the department of environment establishes a use of organic application to support recycling and maintenance of ecological systems in the city.  
  11 T Transformation of the given format of the organic wall, dealing with border area. In an artist's home it separates gallery from their home as a garden wall which he uses also to compost their organic wastes.
 
  11 M Because of the fund offered by the government different border divides find multifunctional uses all over Tokyo.
