1E The smell of wood coming mainly from the industrial environment produced by Hokusan Ltd. erases the confortable quality of the environment on Wakasu Island.

2 M Hokusan Ltd. creates a 'fantasy' weekend festival for the workers and their families, in order to shift the tension and pressure.

3 E Tanaka-san's son, a fifteen year-old boy, sets fire to Hokusan's facilities and burns down three yards and the main factory.
3 O Yamamoto-san, the president of Hokusan Ltd., decides to build temporarly structures to avoid the instability in the company and the production flowing. Prototype: Flexible Boxes  
  3 T Sanwa Corp.becomes a promoter of Hokusan's prototype in order to change the fixed typology of this kind of industries into a more flexible one.  
  3 M 5,000 trees in Malaysia are being cut and imported on to the site in order to satisfy the increase of the demand.  
       
  4 E The massive import of the wood has destroyed the minimal environmental standard of the region.  
  4 O It creates the necessity for research of non-inflamable material like plastics and PVC. Toto technical center becomes involved in the process of development of these materials into the construction industry.  
  4 T Sanwa Corp. changes its interest from wood-module construction to plastic-module construction.  
  4 M This causes a movement of PVC based resources in the construction market.  
       
  5 E Tokyo Port Terminal Public Corporation and the Koto Ward Office are involved in taking measures to clean up the wood industry from pollution and environmental issues.

  7 O A project for land re-qualification in this area is created by the Koto Ward Office.  
  7 T Sanwa Corp. and other companies that are still on the site need to be adapted to the re-qualification project. Therefore they decide to change their corporate image. Prototype: Real-time LCD  
  7 M The flux of people increases by three times due to the popularity generated by these sites.  
         
  8 E Richard Rogers & Partners have been selected to design the bridge, they negotiate to demolish part of the wall. The permit is denied. 'TeKuni-chan' changes the name of the island into 'Tekno Island' in all official Tokyo maps.

  8 T 'Tekno Island' Ward Office modifies the tax system of all the land owners within its jurisdiction.
