3. Norman Foster & Partners is to design the new headquarters for Hokusan Ltd, to be placed on the site.

4. Hokusan Ltd. creates and sponsors an environmental TV show on NHK.

1. The National Land Agency publishes "New Land Requalification Plan and Policies" in collaboration with the Economic Planning Agency of Tokyo.

2. The plantation of new green area start to trigger people fluctuation to Shinkiba during the weekends.

3. Additional infrastructure like retail facilities, restaurants and parks are created to serve the visitors.

1. "Tekno Island" is a Media Theme Park created by Sony Company to communicate to the community the advents of the new technologies.

2. Live broadcasts and television shows start to be transmited from "Tekno Island", due to the low lease, rent costs and excelent facilities, NHK and CNN Asia join Sony in a venture to create a Communication Network that is based in Sony's development.
