 The prototype responds to a range of different individuals and organisational structures; locally as well as externally. By taking existing actors and agents and their operational fields and rejigging them, new urban phenomena are created. The test site for the prototype is an abandoned gas works owned by British Gas. On the other side of the river is a residential area. There is no interaction between the two sides at present, since the unused land is closed of to the public. The fact that the site is divided by two boroughs is also affecting the project. The prototype can be used for educational purposes as the local schools and the community centre will be involved. External agents such as the composting company will be dragged in from other bean sites, or from global destinations to add necessary components to the project. The project is also heavily dependant on existing infra-structures.
