ACTION PLAN

Time Frame:

16 years

Specification:

1

Description:

The action plan starts with Catch_24, which serves as a constant trigger for the development of the Sampling City Tempelhof area. Catch_24 contributes to the smart city by adding a new architectonic and urban typology for startups and temporary activities of all kinds. It works as an incubator for innovative ideas, smart co-working and co-living. Driven by various actors such as startups, university research projects, scholarship programs and sponsors from a large range of industries, Catch_24 creates a dynamic social network of a new level to the city. The development of the area of Tempelhof follows the work and principle of Catch_24. The character of the new Sampling City Tempelhof is smart in interweaving different complexities – these complexities are never to be fully explored. It is a pulsing expansion of connecting urban layers. With reference to the social structure of Catch_24, a completely new type of district is built upon modern living and working habits. Functions are mixed to different extents, depending on the work and lifestyle preferences of the users, creating a wide range of building typologies.
